lea farho (she/her/hers) is a zine maker & poet currently residing in the heart of iowa. she particularly enjoys creating poetic zines with political messages, addressing topics such as menstruation, body positivity, feminism, & activism. her zodiac sign is cancer, so expect her zines to be very passionate and honest--she puts a lotta love (& occasionally tears) into her work.
lea got her start in the zine world in 2015, publishing "model feminism." since then, she has established the independent micro-press, LADY CROW PRESS, & published four additional zines: "my muse, my body" (2016), "this is all so special" (2016), "working blood" (2017), & "dilemma." (2017).
lea is currently pursuing a master of arts in teaching secondary education from drake university. she holds a bachelor of arts in english from nebraska wesleyan university, where she received the 2015 promising writer award & studied in the 2013 juniper summer writing institute. her bachelor's thesis work centered on slam poetry as a form of feminist activism.
